Dale Pilkinton
Co-Owner/Principal
A native and multi-generational Middle Tennessean, Dale Pilkinton has been a dedicated member of E+H Architects since 1995, when he was hired by the firm's founding partners. With a practical mindset and extensive experience spanning a diverse range of architectural project types, he has built a reputation for efficient, visually pleasing, and economical design.
Dale’s approach prioritizes the experience of building occupants—whether end users, business operators, or employees—so that his designs support both functionality and aesthetic excellence. His focus remains on assisting clients in achieving their project and business goals in the most effective way possible.
As one of the select few to have served as Principal and Owner of E+H Architects, Dale values the leadership examples set by those who came before him. To learn more about the firm's legacy, visit the Celebrating 50 Years tab.

Roy Williams
Co-Owner/Principal
A Tennessee native, Roy first joined E+H Architects in 1993. He brings a down-to-earth approach to every project and every client relationship, applying the experience of hundreds of projects nationwide to the locations we serve today (currently 27 states, and growing!)
Having spent the majority of his career designing restaurants and retail establishments, Roy’s design work always keeps in mind the end user. Efficient, visually appealing designs not only benefit the Owner’s bottom line; they improve the workday for business operators and employees alike.
One of only a handful of people to have been a Principal/Owner of E+H Architects, Roy is grateful for those who set the example of leadership before him. Read more about it under the Celebrating 50 Years tab.
Embracing a New Work Model for a
More Balanced Life
A few years ago, we recognized that the traditional office model was no longer conducive to fostering well-rounded, meaningful lives. The rigidity of this structure made it difficult to accommodate the complexities of modern life, including family dynamics and geographic flexibility. As a result, we began planning a new approach—one that would embrace adaptability while maintaining the highest standards of collaboration and productivity.
The events of 2020 and beyond accelerated this transition, as the widespread adoption of communication technology reinforced the feasibility of remote and flexible work. Seeing the growing acceptance of this shift, we felt reassured in our decision to redefine how we operate.
At E+H, we have always sought to hire professional, motivated, self-starter individuals who thrive in dynamic environments. Our approach to work reflects this commitment—providing our team with the freedom and flexibility to serve clients, consultants, and colleagues effectively through a modified work schedule. This structure empowers our staff to balance personal and professional responsibilities while maintaining strong connections with those we work with.
While E+H is headquartered in Middle Tennessee, our reach extends far beyond a single location. Our team members live and work across the United States, spanning four time zones from coast to coast. This nationwide presence enables us to assemble project teams with members strategically located throughout the country, ensuring seamless collaboration and responsiveness to our clients’ needs.
Our work model is built on the belief that great design, strategic planning, and client service thrive in a flexible and supportive environment. By embracing change, leveraging technology, and trusting in our team’s expertise, we continue to grow, adapt, and provide the highest level of service to those we work with.
